Picture of Elise and Bryan in Las Vegas!

This picture makes me laugh...We both look like teenagers even though I'm in my late thirties! My hubby is indeed a kid, being 8 years younger than I am :)

Why would anyone spend thousands of hours writing training programs???

When I was in my early thirties, my intuitive skills suddenly "kicked in". This is often called an awakening where you experience a major growth spurt in your spiritual life and abilities. And mine was pretty brutal. One day I was just a regular software engineer, the next day I woke up with all these thoughts in my head about other people: I knew if someone was sick. I knew someone was having problems at work. I knew if my neighbor was angry with his wife... Although that may sound like fun,… Continue

The Universe Always Knows!

I am just finishing another round in the Manifestation Program©. There's a feature in that program where you can let the Universe choose an exercise for you. Meaning that you don't do them sequentially from 1 to 20, but rather you let synchronicity pick the best exercise for you on a particular day.

I always use that feature now. And it's striking to me how the Universe always knows what I need most to… Continue

Following your Intuition: Are you Driven or Inspired?

I admit it: I was "driven" for most of my life...My school teachers and employers would tell you that I worked hard and that I was determined. And indeed, I got a lot of things accomplished in rather adverse circumstances. But, years later, all these things ended up feeling empty. What was driving me forward was not inspiration, but desperation. I was so worried about life in general that I kept making lists of things that I needed to do in order to be happy and then rush to complete them as fa… Continue

Must See Movie! You Can Heal Your Life

Once in a long time comes a really powerful movie that "puts it all together". I had this experience when I saw "What The Bleep Do We Know" and I had it again when I watched "You Can Heal Your Life", a new movie by Louise Hay. If you do only one thing today to support your own happiness...make it to watch this movie! Hay House, Inc. In love… Continue

Being a student again...

I spent 10 years in college. I was a straight A student and I hated almost every minute of it.

An yet, I remember at the beginning of each new class, I would sit down at my desk and expectantly look up to the teacher in anticipation of the great things I would soon be learning...only to be brutally disappointed when the class was boring and the exams were nothing more than mnemonic regurgitation. Can you imagine 10 years of this sort of torture?

Needless to say, after I got my M

Why I don't make money as a Professional Intuitive...on purpose!

People who first visit my web site on intuition and my Empath Community often ask me why I offer so much "free stuff". They can't believe how much information, programs and communities are available.

Empaths Beware: What you feel from others is not always conscious!

As an Empath, we can feel what other people's emotions. Some of us are also Telepaths, meaning that we can pick up on people's thoughts as well. In both cases, it's critical to be aware that what we read is not always conscious in the other person's mind. So what does that mean for us? Example 1 Let's say you are picking up on a feeling of jealousy from your best friend. That reading could make you feel resentful or suspicious of your fri… Continue

Growing up as an Empath

I grew up as an Empath, not knowing what that was. At the time the signs were hidden as normal child growing pains, so no one noticed. Not that they would have known what to do. I want to share this with you today in hopes that if you or your child are an Empath, you'll recognize the signs and be inspired to do something about it. Being an Empath means that you can feel the emotions of others. The scope of this skill varies greatly among us. I can sense the emotions of anyone within a 50 miles… Continue

The Sound of Silence...

Once in a while, I get the urge to go on a silent retreat. The first time I did this, I went through a 28 hour trip to Brazil to see John of God where I spent 2 weeks mediating 8 hours a day...Phew! Since then, luckily, I've found deeply spiritual places that offer the quiet I need within a reasonable driving distance of Portland, Oregon... My most recent discovery is the Hidden Lake Retreat

Empathy is like a hammer...

You can throw it at the wall in frustration (leaving a gaping hole), drop it on your finger (ouch!) or build houses...But in itself it's just a tool.

About 9 months after I realized I was "feeling other people's stuff" (I didn't know the word Empath back then), I went down in depression. Having studied psychology for years, I did the responsible thing: I went to see a psychologist.

Fortunately, I knew to look for someone who was not going to prescribe anti-psychotic drugs (I k… Continue
