Posting Guidelines

1. Our community is based on respect and support. When posting a reply, ask yourself if you feel your comment will help others.Our new members might be scared, hurt or in shock.  We want them to feel comfortable and safe.
   
   
2. Share your opinions respectfully but don't argue your point with other members.  If you feel uncomfortable about something that is being posted, please email Elise.  
   
   
3. Resolve your conflicts privately. If you don't like other members, I suggest you ignore them. You can also email them using your anonymous ning email which can be found in our settings to resolve the issue or post in the Venting Group.  Attacking other members in the forums or on your blog can get you banned, no matter who started it.
   
   
4. Please do not discuss demons, psychic vampires, haunting or possessions in the chat or main forum.  Use the Paranormal group or the Psychic Vampire group for these topics.  These are VERY scary sounding topics and our new members need to feel safe!  You can ask question about "people who drain your energy", or "energy consumers" and we're happy to help you fix this in the forums.
   
   PS: Witch hunts (i.e. accusing someone of being a psychic vampire because they drained) is not acceptable anywhere on this site. If someone is draining you, just stay away from them or educate yourself on shielding.
   
   
5. Topics in the main forum are exclusively about Empaths.  Why?  Because our new members might be confused about who they are.  We want to make it easy for them to related.  If you want to talk about depression, haunting or religious beliefs, please do so in your blog or in our fantastic groups.
   
   
6. Others can read your energy.  Most people in our community can read other people's energy. If you don't want others to read your energy, do not post in the forum and moderate your own blog to filter out what is not helpful to you.  Please read the posting guidelines about asking and providing Empath Readings here
   
   
7. Keep your language clean.  We have kids on this forum and chat (less than 13) and I would like to keep away from swear words (yes, even abbreviated ones).  PS: You can say whatever you want in the Venting Group!
   
   
8. No soliciting or re-posting.  You can advertise your services in the Toot your own horn group only.  When you have published a post, there is no need to ad copies of it in other places on this web site.
   
   
9. Your posts can be deleted if the moderators feel you have violated a posting guideline. I always send out a notice explaining why it happened.  I know this is entirely subjective but it's the system we use.  Note sure about a post you want to make, ask Elise!
   

Violating our posting guideline can get you banned from our site.  You will always get a warning before getting banned.  We don't do it lightly but it does happen. 

Also, before you get upset with me for doing something you didn't like, please remember that I'm only human...I do my best but I cannot possibly please everyone.
