I have had the pleasure in life to be at some places that felt very different to me.
I have had people tell me the area, place, was sacred. There is no buildings or history that is attached to the area, no any event that would be considered Holy,
I have heard comments from complete strangers, This is Sacred ground, this place is so peaceful.
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of event. Do you have any knowledge you are willing to share with me on your understanding of such places.
Is it because of it's location, it's mineral make up, it's energetic energy? Turly any clue what makes it such.

A sacred site is a locale where the earth's power radiates more strongly in a vortex of energy. Sacred sites are usually situated on natural energy streams that run beneath the earth's surface. Sacred places can be natural, like holy wells or rock formations, or built out of stone and earth. Ancient peoples intuited power places, worshipped Nature, the Goddess and other deities there, performed headings and other ceremonies, and used them as "temples of learning." Often they raised monuments of huge stones containing high concentrations of crystalline substances, using advanced techniques since forgotten or lost in modern times. They aligned their monuments, as distinctly seen at Stonehenge, Carnac in France, and the Egyptian pyramid complex, with the potency of the extra-terrestrial forces of the sun, moon, planets and/or stars to augment the already vital energies pulsating there. Ancient people often built their sites using sacred geometry such as circles, ovals, and pyramids. Furthermore, using arcane knowledge, ancient people were able to "seal in" the immense power of their sacred sites with ritual and ceremony, so that sacred sites still vibrate with wisdom and energy after thousands of years. With the advent of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism, new religious edifices were often built on top of ancient sacred sites, like Chartres in France and Glastonbury Abbey in England. However, these religions retained intuitive understanding and ancient memories of the mystical and mysterious forces of nature and utilized the power of these sites.

I have felt this earth energy strongly at StoneHenge and Avebury in England & at the Calinsh Stones in Scotland...Egypt as well has strong energy centers, as I believe most of the world does. I have often found that energy exists also in circles, anywhere I have found trees in a circle I have felt an incredible energy vibration....
I just read somewhere that natural crystals embedded deep under the ground in our earth's crust play a part in the energy these places have.
Fascinating subject by the way, I love it.
Sending you love,
Lynn

Thank you Lynn for your knowledge. This is just what I was looking for. I bought property that is virgin, never been lived on by a white, indian yes. It attracted me to it the first time I looked at it.
We moved onto the property to start to build a home and experienced a lot of problems right away. Many events took place in the physical as well our emotional and spiritual changed.
We had to of course drill a well at hit a monster crystal several hundred feet down. I wont go into discription here as to what started to happen, but it was to say the least way above my life knowledge.
From that point on, people who come to visit us become emotionally healed and proclaim, this is sacred ground, and they are joyful. Mind you these are people who would not speak this way.
My own abilities have changed. I also ask myself, why is it that others experience these things so strongly.
If you have some more insight, and you believe it should be kept private, please email me.

Good stuff, Lynn, thank you.

I have also felt this way in the red rock country of Sedona, which is considered to be an energy votex center. But also in Tulum, Mexico at the Mayan ruins (both of these places being recognized as energy centers) . But the greatest *feeling* the greatest *sacred ground* I know is my own backyard. A mountain in the Catskills with no specific history attached to it, But man, I got to tell you I have felt things and seen things on this mountain that have me believing in shape shifters and miracles. I have always felt a very strong Native American Vibe here. So I researched but so far have only discovered that the Lene Lenapi (Ancient Ones) occupied this area of New York. Nothing specific to my property. Still, I feel, because of the lay of the land and the fresh water streams that run through the property that it may have been a village center or something. My point is I believe you can recognize that feeling with or without the documentation.

I would love to know if that giant crystal was a quartz crystal, as they are known to hold residual energies. Has it been identified? My sister sends me clear crystal quartz that's just laying around on her property in Arkansas. Apparently this is a hot spot for crystals.

Very interesting topic. And as Empathic sensations go simply *the best*. -- I would love to have more geographic/empathic experiences. Seriously, I always feel like the earth is healing me when I am near these sacred places.

Well, thanks again for interesting topic.
Love

Hi, Everyone,
Sedona, Arizona awesome place! I went there on a retreat in 1998. The energy and healing power coming out of the vortex's there is amazing. I soo want to go back there one day. I would love to also see the Mayan ruins in Mexico as well...
Like you Roxy ,I feel healed in mind body & soul when I am near these places..my soul sings and senses a happiness that is rare for an empath to experience.
We live out in the country and are surrounded by forest, I have felt this energy there as well when I am out walking.
How fortunate we all are to have this in our own back yards. The Ancients the world over have much wisdom to teach us. (I only wish more of their wisdom survived)
Great Day to Everyone,
Lynn

If you get the chance, head to the Black Hills in South Dakota. They are littered with holy / sacred places. I felt them all the time when i lived out there. plus there is the natural beauty.

When i found them out there i got an overwhelming sence of peice. Some of them even the animals were calm there, they too could sence the energies of this place. Most of them seem to be near large granite deposits. there is an overwhelming sence of tranquility in them. Its very refreshing to be near them. Also i have found that you can get particularly strong visions in them if you are capable of such things

Just as there are sacred places on ley lines that offer this peace and serenity there are also those places that offer something else. Anyone who has been to New Orleans or any of the surrounding areas on the Delta will tell you this.

Like all things just as there is good, there must be the polar opposite of good, whatever definition you choose to give it. I myself can attest to the chaotic energies coming from this area and some of the people working upon these energies are nothing short of chaotic themselves. Grounding in these areas is imperative and protections a must.

I have felt that energy in 3 places, although they all felt slightly different;
- Sedona - I was doing a training course in Phoenix in about 1996
- Cape Town
- Adam's Calendar, which is on the same meridian as the pyramids and some think they might be older than Stonehedge.

To give a couple of details about the crystal we drilled threw. It is clear quarts crystal. I was able to retrieve many small chunks of it as the diamond bit on the well drilled threw it and it came up with the water. it is almost two hundred feet under the ground. It is fifty feet thick where we drilled. its outer shape is round, but with a egg shape not so defined. it is one hundred feet long and it is around seventy five feet wide. We drilled on one of its edges so the middle may be close to eighty feet thick. Very big. It is located in depth to the Ozark aquifer underground river, which is just another two hundred feet lower.
I have found in my life experience that water is a earth element and religious element that is reported to carry energy and energy beings so I am not suprized at all that the major impact is water.
The events that happen in the physical is that it effects all battery operated equiptment, crystal equiptment like watches, computers, tech equiptment go hay wire and when set on the ground they go dead.
We also have a lot of trouble with the AC current as it goes into a drain down, where the light will dim and at times go off. WE have had the electrical looked at more than once and there is nothing wrong with the wire in the house or the pannel box.
We without knowing it, have our newly built home sitting right on top of it. It has effected the spiritual abilities, but it has also effected out health.
I did want to mention that all of the effects are postive and not of a negitive nature, but the changes have been draining of energy while change is happening. I can only guess it is the impact of the adjustment. We have had people who have drunk the water and took some home to drink report that physical changes have occured. Problems with the digestion and bowls have happened, so beside the high mineral content of the water, some thing is effecting the mental. Thoes with depression and anxiety report that that they feel so peaceful and it will remain with them for several months.

I also do strongly agree that there are places on the planet that give off some very negitve effects. We hear have come to understand and know for self what are called "keeps" and yes they do give off some very if not as intense experience as the healing portals.
Her in the Ozark area, we have deep caves and we are called the state of caves as we have more than any other area of the world. Yes even larger than Mexico. It does have the odd effect on the "religious" nature in my area. People here are passionate about thier religious belief and display many different abilities of the super natural. It is so common place here that to not have some ability would be considered odd.
The caves also have a "oddity" that science has studied for many years, the stalag tights have bends in them of 90 degree angels instead of just hanging down stright like other caves. The Scentist believe it is one of the only places they believe they can date trace how long the times were between pole shifts on our planet and that is their explnation of why the 90 degree angels to the stalag tights are present. The magnetic is also a bit off on a compass. Archologist are having a play day here the last few years when a cave was opened by a road crew and they found animal life that they never knew existed here as well as human existance.
It is a amazing place here in the Ozarks.

Yeah, my sister has nothing but great things to say about the Ozark. My husband and I plan to do a road trip there someday.

Thanks for such wonderful information. I was thinking maybe you tapped the same water source for the Hot Springs water which are known for healing. My sister goes there all the time to fill up the water jugs. Nice talking to you. Sounds to me like you're sitting on a vortex now all you have to do is let that crystal tell you its story. Have you tried quietly meditating over it?

BTW: we just had a well drilled yesterday. All we got was red clay mud....but clay is how I play, so I'm happy!!

Hi Roxy,
The Aquafa that we tapped into feeds the hot springs as it joins to a volcanic crack that heats it and brings the minerals up for all to enjoy. I do not have as much knowledge of vortex or why or whats of it and would like to hear what you understand of them. Maybe another string should be started on this topic. But if a vortex disrupts time space, that sure sounds like a good discription of the physical and emontional spiritual occurances that are happening here. I have had a dickens of a time in grounding in meditation here. It feels like I am free floating, like being in space without gravity. It makes you off balance in your walk as well you are dizzy and disoriented a lot.
It took some time to adjust to this and the physical is effected threw the adjustment.
The gifts and abilities are changed in how they function. When you are used to meditation that is based on grounding by tapping into the ground, the energy is absorbed and returns back to you. With this it seems to never go into the ground to release but free floats and returns back to you double. As an example: I would start to meditate to relieve depression, instead of release of past cords and issue, it is made stronger instead of release.
I have found a few ways to get around this and hope to develop this out as time goes on.
When I need relief and am very bound up, I have to get away from the area and I feel a release into the ground. So the crystal has a kind of reflective capturing ability. I am not sure of all the reasons yet.
As for it talking, indeed it does. Right now it is more tending to put off tones and sounds that can be heard in the ears and it does cause some to stop and say, "what is that sound, that pitch". Some have asked if we had some kind of large engine running, it almost reminds me of binural beat or brain syncing.
Very different for sure.
I will open a new discussion of what is a vortex.
Let me know your thoughts.

Mel,
Sorry, took so long to respond. Just saw this post...the doubling up of energy you speak of caught my eye.
Trying to ground and release back into earth only to have it *double back* on you. Making depression worse.
I don't know why, but I just had this thought go through my head, that the depression/pain must intensify before release. Perhaps a surge? I don't know. But the story of my life is letting go of depression and I've never found a quick fix. It's a process that usually plays out over days or weeks. Sometimes gone for a while then revisits. It's a process.
I would wonder if after you had that *double back* feeling if it suddenly seemed to dissipate almost completely within a few days.

Here's another guess: Maybe since the stone is made of quartz which is a conductor you are getting exactly what you describe *double* as in the original emotion but also the residual emotion played back at you* . Like *emotional playback* in stereo. I don't really know enough about how quartz works and how to clear it (especially when it's 80 feet wide or whatever. Whew! A monster)
I do think for every problem there is a solution however. It may take a lot of inner strength since there is this gigantic *memorex tape* on your property, but I do believe you can reject the *double back* surge. Start by simply telling the rock to "play another tune for now". Make friends with the rock. Send it happy vibes so it can send them back to you when you need it. Find another place to dump the depressing stuff. (smudge it away)
I get a feeling you are as drawn to the stone as you are wary of it. I'd say make friends with it.

(Hey, my sister tells me there are diamond finds in Arkansas ..... who knows what lies beneath.)

Good luck, and let me know how things go.
Love,
Roxy
